Light The Way For Others

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is heaven.” Matthew 5:16 (NASB)

This constitutes a command. We are God’s representatives in the world. We Are not our own. We are bought with a price [“For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body” 1 Cor. 6:22]. We are lights because we have been lighted by the Light. Therefore we are commanded to let the light within us shine forth.
God has never saved a person that He did not have a ministry for that person. He does not call all men to preach, teach, or go to mission fields; but we are saved to serve. God puts within us a light to shine, that we may light the way for others.
If we are saved, we are saved to witness for Jesus, to let our light shine “before men.”

their words to the ends of the world. (Psalm 19:1-4a)

The Gospel According To Jesus – Part 26

bible
“It is a wicked, godless generation that asks for a sign; and the only sign that will be given it is the sign of the prophet Jonah. Jonah was in the sea-monster’s belly for three days and nights, and in the same way the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the bowels of the earth.
At the judgment, when this generation is on trial, the men of Nineveh will appear against it and ensure its condemnation, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and what is here is greater than Jonah.”
Matthew 12:39-41 (NEB)
