The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

The Power Within

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.” Eph.3:20 (NASB)
Jesus’ resurrection has a lasting impact on the church and the world. The risen Christ turned His disciples from doubters to doers. He turned fearful men into forceful men. This He did by convincing them of His victory over death. They realized that if Jesus had power over death, then He had power over any circumstance they would face.
Many people today feel that they lead powerless lives. They are unable to meet the demands placed on them. To the disciples, taking the Gospel to all the world must have seemed impossible. Nevertheless, they undertook the task with great vigor and determination. They fearlessly proclaimed their faith in Jesus wherever they went. This they could not have done without the power that the resurrected Christ provided. Today, if we find ourselves continually overwhelmed by life’s challenges, our primary problem may be a lack of power.
There are some who are near Jesus but are not plugged into His power. Jesus’ resurrection provided power for the early church. He can provide power for today’s church as well.

“If the Holy Spirit can take over the subconscious with our consent and cooperation, then we have Almighty Power working at the basis of our lives, then we can do anything we ought to do, go anywhere we ought to go, and be anything we ought to be.” E. Stanley Jones
