The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”

“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

An All-inclusive Attachment To Christ

“Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.” 1 John 4:15:17 (NASB)

To accept Christ is to know the meaning of the words “Because as He is, so also are we in this world.” We accept His friends as our friends, His enemies as our enemies, His ways as our ways, His rejection as our rejection, His cross as our cross, His life as our life and His future as our future. The Gospel According To Jesus – Part 46

“O men of little faith! Why are you so worried about having no food? Won’t you ever understand? Don’t you remember at all the 5,000 I fed with five loaves, and the basketfuls left over? Don’t you remember the 4,000 I fed, and all that was left?”
Matthew 16:8-10 (LNT)
