The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

“The patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into Egypt. Yet God was with him.” Acts 7:9 (NASB)
To the natural man, it would seem that for Joseph all hope was gone. His brothers seemed determined to destroy him. We may be persecuted, denied, pushed out and forgotten by man; sin may tempt us, the world around us may be determined to damn us. The devil may torment us from every possible angle, but God is with us every second of every hour of every day, and He is able to deliver and protect His own: “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NASB).
When true believers are obedient to God and when they fully trust Him, evil cannot overtake them. The hurricanes of hell cannot destroy them, the plagues of the demons cannot come near them. We are more than conquerors through Him. The time may come in the life of a believer when it seems that all hope is gone. It may seem that we are beaten, defeated, forsaken–but “What then shall we say to these thing? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Just as it is written, ‘For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 (NASB)

  1. Nice job! One of my favorite verses is “If God is for us who can be against us?” What a wonderful truth to grab onto!
