Recently I have been awaiting some important answers and I have been talking to God nonstop. Whenever I am stressed, worried or just straight up confused the first thing I always do is pray. Praying is the best way to communicate to God about what you are feeling and what is wrong. Although God knows every single thing that is going on in your life, he wants to hear you say that you need His help.

A new sister in Christ on my residence hall asked my friends and I, “Why should I pray, what’s the importance?” I thought about it for a while and realized that I have always known Jesus and I have never lived life without prayer, so I had think from her perspective. We told her that is was a way to talk to God, we will never see…

Perfect message , unlikely source ..

montague county moments

I recall nearly twenty years ago , at a point in my life when things looked hopelessly bleak.. My life , my chosen field of endeavor , my finances , and unknowingly my health , were all deteriorating for a reason I chose to ignore.

One particular Sunday night I had been to a Mexican Restaurant in Denton,  in an effort to momentarily forget the level of despair I found myself wallowing in . As I approached home , reality came back into focus , and I realized I needed to stop by the store before returning home.

I pulled into the parking lot of  Wolsey’s grocery store and stepped out of the car, feeling as though my life had minimal purpose or expectations for improvement.

Just then , a load of kids drove by in one of those familiar church-vans…The street was dimly lighted , making it impossible…

Serve The Lord With Gladness

“And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, And though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.” 1 Peter 1:8 (NASB)

If you have no joy, there’s a leak in your Christianity somewhere.

The Gospel According To Jesus – Part 79

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Mark 1:15 (NKJV)

The One Thing We Need

“For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 (NASB)

The Father in heaven is so interested in His child, and so longs to have his life in step with His will and His love, that He is willing to keep the child’s guidance entirely in His own hand. He knows so well that we do not want what is really holy and heavenly, except when He works it in us, that He intends His every demands to become promises of what He will do, in watching over and leading us all day long. We may count on Him to teach us His way and show us His path not only in special trials and hard times, but in every day life…
So simple and delightful can it become to a soul that has practiced waiting on God, to walk all day in the enjoyment of God’s light and leading. What is needed to help us to find such a life is one thing: the real knowledge and faith of God as the only source of wisdom and goodness, as always ready and longing to be to us all that we can possibly need. Yes, this is the one thing we need.
