The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

Doxology

“Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us to be torn by their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; The snare is broken and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 124:6-8 (NASB)
We cannot underestimate the power of God. We can sing the doxology because we do not face the present or the future alone.
Listen to the psalm: He will help us escape. He will help is through whatever we face. He will bring the release that we need.
It does not matter that we are weak. God has always done His best work with the vulnerable. In our weakness we discover this other grace–the power of God.
In the middle of the traumas of our lives we can sing a doxology. We sing because God will sustain us as He sustained the people of God long ago.

Very well stated, thank you my friend.

  2. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Isaiah 42:10. May the Lord bless you richly as you meditate on the works He will perform in your life. Karen

I was going through a really difficult time once and so someone prayed for me. After they’d finished praying, they told me that they had seen an image of a birdcage. The door was open and the bird was free to leave. A few weeks later, I was having a difficult time again. So I went online to find comfort, hoping to find someone else who shared in my struggles. I found one particular article that was so relevant, it could have been written by me. At the end of the article, the person shared of a vision they had while writing…of a birdcage, with an open door. And a bird flying out of the cage. God is so good to give us such sweet confirmation of His love and comfort.

“Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; The snare is broken and we have escaped.”

Amen! When you get caught in a snare, how sweet is the release. How Great is our God!
