The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” 2 Peter 1:20-21 (NASB)
For every good thing God gives His children the devil offers a cheap counterfeit: For example, the true minister of Jesus Christ is led by the Holy Spirit; the minister of Satan is led by “deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (1 Tim. 4:1). The true minister of Jesus Christ preaches the truth; the minister of Satan speaks lies in hypocrisy.
Only a few short years ago the person who did not believe in the virgin birth of Jesus and the inspiration of the Bible was called an infidel–but today a man can deny the virgin birth, the blood atonement, the inspiration of the Bible, and at the same time pastor one of the most fashionable churches in town. His writings will be published in the leading religious publications. Can such a man possibly be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit? According to the Scriptures, he cannot.
Peter tells us that our Scriptures came from “men moved by the Holy Spirit.” Did the Holy Spirit in that day move men to proclaim the virgin birth of Jesus, and then in this day move men to deny the virgin birth?
The Holy Spirit has not changed His mind about the virgin birth, the blood atonement, or the inspiration of the Scriptures, and any person–whether minister or layman–who questions that Jesus was born of a virgin is a minister of the devil. He is full of demons and he is following seducing spirits. Any person who denies the blood atonement and the inspiration of the Scriptures is in the same boat–full of spiritual darkness.
If the Bible is not the Word of God, and if not all of its words are inspired, then what part of it is inspired? If certain portions are simply words penned down by man, tell me who has the authority and the wisdom to decide which portions are authentic and which are fallacious and unworthy of belief, trust, and obedience?
The Bible as we have it today is God’s inspired Word, full and complete. There is no such thing as “lost truth.” God has preserved His Word and kept it for His children down through the ages, and He will continue to do so until the end of time.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim, 3:16-17 (NASB)
