The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

Power To Cope

“This is my comfort in affliction, That Your word has revived me.” Psalm 119:50 (NASB)
Multitudes have found their confidence in Jesus’ words. Not only what He did but also what He said gives us new life and spirit. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matt. 11:28-30). Jesus lights up our lives with His love.
Not only does God promise us power to cope, He also promises us victory in life’s struggles: “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? . . .For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:35, 38, 39).
The love of Christ puts us on victory ground. Love is the gospel magic. Our hopes will not disappoint us, because God loves us, and God is with us and for us. Nothing can “separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” When we live in the light of His love, life becomes a thing of beauty.
