The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

Tomorrow May Never Come

“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” James 4:14 (NASB)
No one knows how much time they have left on this earth. Proverbs 27:1 warns: “Don’t boast about tomorrow, for you don’t know what a day may bring” (HCSB).
We cannot count on tomorrow. We possess today, this moment; but tomorrow, for us, may never come. All of us, both saved and unsaved, need to be reminded of this fact constantly, that we might take advantage of the opportunities afforded us today.
Since we do not know what tomorrow may bring, believers should do what we can today to point lost souls to Christ, to help those who are in need, to show kindness and love to those who are burdened or distressed, to serve the Lord faithfully in whatever way we can. And the unsaved certainly should not put off accepting Christ as Savior until tomorrow, for they cannot be sure they will living when tomorrow comes. Paul wrote to the Corinthians: “. . .Behold, now is ‘the accepted time,’ behold, now is ‘the day of salvation'” 2 Cor. 6:2 (NASB).

I love this – living life day by day.

  2. Some of us put so much vested interest in “tomorrow”; may we start to live today. vw
