“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'” John 14:6 (NASB)
“We are living in an age of shames and counterfeits. Satan seems to have abandoned the hope of crushing out the Christian Church by a process of undisguised hostility, and now seeks to destroy her efficiency by stealthily draining off her vitality, and robbing her of every supernatural element. He ‘transforms himself into an angel of light,’ and often assumes to be a special friend and guardian of the Church. Craftily he infuses his deadly virus and inculcates his plausible philosophy, until the moral perception is obscured, the conscience is distorted, and policy runs nearly the whole ecclesiastical machinery. Thus a popularized religion–which costs nothing and is worth nothing–is readily accepted, while the old religion of the cross is utterly discarded” [1].
“Churchianity is doing much harm to Christianity in the West. The teachings of Christianity are, ‘Submit yourselves therefore unto God,’ ‘Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you,’ ‘Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up,’ ‘Be ye holy, for I am holy,’ ‘Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” But Churchianity does not require submission to God, nor holiness of heart and life. Its chief ambition is to build a large church that will be popular with the world. Christianity labors to build up a holy church that will be acceptable to God, and a bearer of light to the world” [2].
“Churchianity is more about living good. Christianity is more about living right. Churchianity is more about being blessed. Christianity is more about being a blessing. Churchianity is more about achieving success. Christianity is more about achieving God’s calling. Churchianity is more about being rewarded. Christianity is more about being obedient. Churchianity is more about life without problems. Christianity is more about peace through the storms. Churchianity is more about abundant living. Christianity is more about abundant grace. Churchianity is more about God shining on us. Christianity is more about God shining through us. Churchianity is more about man’s approval. Christianity is more about God’s approval. Churchianity is more about ‘your best life now.’ Christianity is more about eternal joy in heaven” [3].
“To be without Christ is to be without God. No man comes to the Father but by Him. . . There is mercy, there is grace to help in every time of need. There is all-sufficient power, but it is all centered in the Lord Jesus Christ. Apart from Him we cannot understand or know God; we cannot approach God, and we could not stand one flash of the light of His holiness” [4].

Thanks, and God bless!
This is definitely thought-provoking. I suspect I’m not the only reader you’ve left wondering about their own attitudes and actions.
Thank you for your kind words.
Great stuff, and I saw myself at times in that list. We all need reminders about just how we are supposed to act and behave now and then. Thanks

Amen! I agree wholeheartedly!
Your article was heartfelt. I know because I know where you have to come from to have that insight. It is a way for Satan to tear down the church and for people to become despondent and forsake the fellowship of like minded believers. If only Christians would pull together and help one another, build one another up in Christ and practice putting on the mind of Christ the way churches were set up to in the beginning. I stopped going to church myself for a while. I’ve started going back. I think I’ve found a body of like minded believers who want to abide by God’s word. The preacher speaks in tongues. I haven’t seen or heard anyone interpret yet but there are other Christians there whom I’ve known for years who speak in tongues and interpret as well as prophesy. Keep me in your prayers and I will you.
