The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

God Will Lead

“For You are my rock and my fortress;
For Your name’s sake You will
lead me and guide me.”
Psalm 31:3 (NASB)
God has led. This is history’s testimony. Looking back over lives, we can see how beautifully, wonderfully, lovingly God has led. “As for me, the LORD has led me,” testified the servant of Abraham (Gen. 24:27).
God will lead. This is the testimony of doctrine. The Scriptures teach it by precept and example throughout Old and New Testaments. The Word of God declares it to be so. Looking ahead–before the need, before the crunch–we can testify that God will lead.
God is leading! This is the testimony of faith, where the rubber meets the road. God has promised to lead, and I seek to be lead–an unbeatable combination. God’s promise, my submission. -Richard Halverson

  1. I am facing things in me that seems to have made me reap what i sow. I really need someone faithful to pray and not stop until something changes without asking questions. I’m Miserable.

  2. Yes, he is leading and it’s a great focal point for Advent. At our Sunday School recently we reflected upon how the Jewish people could wait so confidently and patiently for the Messiah – for hundreds of years – over 400 since the last prophecy. They knew that He always keeps his promises, however long it takes – a day is like and thousand years and a thousand years is like a day!

    The nice thing is that we have given the assurance that God will lead those who Trust Him. The Old Books also show enough instances where people of God have been guided through all sort of instances and were taken out of bad situations they even sometimes thought they could not survive.
