The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 (NASB)
The devil is not invincible. Various books and films in recent years have made him appear to be the strongest force on earth, but we remember John’s statement: “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). We must keep in mind that the devil does not believe in a fair fight. He uses lies and deceptions. It is vital that we be discerning and “not ignorant of his devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11).
We can take confidence in the fact that the devil is doomed to ultimate defeat. “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). If we keep ourselves firmly on the side of our conquering Savior, we can enjoy the fruits of His triumph over the devil.

  1. Amen! Let’s not forget who we are, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. We have power over all the power of the enemy, nothing by any means shall harm us. Glory be to God!
