Psalm 18:1-2

I love you, LORD;
you are my strength.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my
savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find
protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety.
Psalm 18:1-2 (NLT)

Life’s challenges are designed not to break us but to bend us toward God.

You Ask Me How I Know – Helen Steiner Rice

You ask me how I know it’s true
that there is a living God…
A God who rules the universe–
the sky, the sea, the sod–
A God who hangs the sun out
slowly with the break of day
And gently takes the stars in
and puts the night away.
What better answers are there
to prove His holy being
Than the wonders all around us
that are ours just for the seeing?

The Words Of Jesus Shall Prevail

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” Mark 13:31 (NASB)
Today the words of Jesus are being subjected to a relentless attack by unbelievers. Certain scholars are insisting that Jesus never spoke most of the words attributed to Him in the Gospels. These scholars claim that the early church put words in Jesus’ mouth in order to justify their own theological agenda. Other unbelievers accept the authenticity of Jesus’ words, but charge that His words were spoken to deceive, or that He Himself was deluded when He spoke them. Still others twist His words in a misguided attempt at humor, holding Jesus and His claims up to ridicule. We who regard Jesus and His words with reverence and faith know, that even though the world may cast its fiery darts, His words shall prevail
