There Is Always A Renewal

After the winter comes the spring
To show us again that in everything
There’s always a renewal
divinely planned,
Flawlessly perfect,
the work of God’s hand.

Trusting God Rather Than Our Own Understanding

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (NASB)
Trust involves obedience, even when obedience appears to be risky or costly. Trust involves believing God and in His faithfulness, even when circumstances tempt us to question Him. Trust also involves believing what the Lord says, even when it does not make sense. Much of what Jesus taught may seem to go against our deepest instincts, but we must trust that He is right. An example of this is found in the Beatitudes, which link blessing and prosperity to such conditions as meekness, hunger, and persecution. Trust involves believing in the Lord to keep His promises. It involves waiting on Him to do things in His time, although that may not be as quickly as we would like.

Live the gospel, and others will listen.

Colossians 3:12-15

“Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, and you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
Colossians 3:12-15 (NLT)
