The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

A Perfect Inheritance

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.” 1 Peter 1:3-4 (NASB)
“Blessed assurance! Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!” There is no uncertainty attached to the hope of the born again believer. We have salvation, we are saved forever. We have eternal life. We are children of God—even in this present evil world we are children of the heavenly King, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. We are led by the Holy Spirit, sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption; and beyond this life we have an inheritance eternal and undefiled—we have a perfect inheritance reserved for us in heaven.

Jesus is the best foundation upon which to build a solid life

Trust In God Alone

I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken.
Psalm 62:1-2 (HCSB)

Withdrawal Means Renewal

When life becomes a problem
much too great for us to bear,
Instead of trying to escape,
let us withdraw in prayer—
For withdrawal means renewal
if we withdraw to pray
And listen in the quietness
to hear what God will say.

Praise To The Gracious God

The LORD is gracious and merciful; slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works.
All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD, and Your godly ones shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power;
To make know to the sons of men Your mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
Psalm 145:8-13 (NASB)

Dead Branches

“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 (NASB)
A branch has no resources from which to bring forth fruit except it be connected to the vine. The vine provides life, power, ability to produce fruit. The believer is connected to the true vine, Jesus Christ—and it is through Him, by His power, that we are enabled to produce fruit.
We need to be alert lest the devil cause us to center our minds on something aside from Jesus—causing us to break fellowship with Him; and if the master deceiver can cause us to become occupied with ourselves, self-willed, and self-centered, we are no better than a branch severed from a vine. The most painfully deluded person on earth is a Christian who, in witnessing for Christ, glories in his own attainments and victories. The more fully we are dedicated to Christ, the more fully He controls us—soul, spirit, and body—the less notoriety we desire for ourselves and the more honor and glory we will bestow upon His name.

What Is Love – Helen Steiner Rice

What is love? No words can define it—
It’s something so great
only God could design it.
For love means much more
than small words can express,
For what we call love is very much less
Than the beauty and depth
and the true riches of
God’s gift to mankind—
His compassionate love.

A Christian’s life is a window through which others can see Jesus

I am sure you have heard the statement by Edmund Burke that “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.” You have probably heard the United States being compared to the Roman Empire.

“Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the ‘new, wonderful good society’ which shall now be Rome, interpreted to mean money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious. ‘” – Marcus Tullius Cicero.

The Roman Empire was split in two by Constantine with two capitals. Over time, the east thrived, while the west declined. In fact, after the western part…
