I am often weak and weary,
and life is dark and bleak and dreary. . .
But somehow when I realize that He
who made the sea and skies
And holds the whole world in His hand
has my small soul in His command,
It gives me strength to try once more to
somehow reach the heavenly door
where I will live forevermore
with friends and loved ones I adore.

much too great for us to bear,
Instead of trying to escape,
let us withdraw in prayer—

I know better than,
to do this on my own

I’d complain and moan.

I’ve given it to Him . . .
even though right now
things are looking grim.
He will make something,
beautiful out of this . . .
if I get in His way
His blessing I will miss.
God’s got this,
it’s entirely in His hand
and one day this too . . .
I will come to understand!
