God Has Made Provision For Our Victory
“In all these things we are more than victorious through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 (HCSB)
God not only loved us so much that He purchased our salvation with the blood of His Son, He loves us so much that He made provision for our victory over the power of sin in this life, and final victory over even the presence of sin when we go to be with Him for all eternity. God does not save us–and then leave us to fight our own battles against the wiles of the devil, against the spiritual wickedness of this world. He provides our every need for every trial and temptation we will ever be called upon to face while we live in this world.
Never forget that the devil knows to whom the Christian belongs–and he also knows that Jesus is his Master. There will be temptations, there will be trials and tribulations; but God knew all of this when He blueprinted the plan of salvation, and He made provision for it in the giving of His Son. Jesus said to His disciples, “You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” John 16:33 (HCSB)
