The Lord Rescues Us from Every Evil Deed
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.” Philippians 4:6 (NASB)
Even though we are invited to cast all our cares upon the Lord (1 Pet. 5:7), many of us find that difficult to do. We believe that there must be something more we can do about our circumstances. We hate the feeling of being out of control. In such times, it will bring a sense of peace if we can trust God.
We can know that God cares for us because of His revelation of Himself throughout history, but most of all because He sent His only Son to be our Savior. He has gone to great lengths to demonstrate how much He cares for us.
“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen” 2 Timothy 4:18 (NASB)
