The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

“You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (NKJV)
The Christian life begins, continues, and finds its fullness in the Word of God–but the natural man does not read the Bible. He has no desire for the things of God. His nature hungers for the things of the flesh. However, he will watch the life of a Christian–what the believer does, where he goes, the company he keeps, the songs he sings, the words he speaks–the unbeliever will judge God , not according to the Bible, but according to the life of the believer. Therefore it has been said that Christians are the only Bible some will read. That is why true believers are admonished again and again to surrender soul, spirit, and body to Jesus, and surrender our members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Paul admonishes believers: “See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.
Rejoice always! Pray constantly. Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Don’t stifle the Spirit. Don’t despise prophecies, but test all things. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every form of evil.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it”
1 Thessalonians 5:15-23 (HCSB).

“You are our epistle” I have never noticed that before! Thank you for picking it out for us today, an important reminder – we are letters, and ambassadors.
