The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

Isaiah 64:4

For since the world began,
no ear has heard
and no eye has seen a God like you,
who works for those who wait
on Him!
Isaiah 64:4 (NLT)

Keeping heaven’s perspective in mind is the only way to enjoy life on earth.

Experience Needed

“Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, ‘I have no delight in them.'” Ecclesiastes 12:1 (NASB)
Teens and young adults usually don’t like to be told what to do. Advice, even good advice, may be ignored or even resented. Instead of trying to tell them what to do, we can tell them what we have done. This requires us to be vulnerable and to humble ourselves, but the result may be worth it. Young people often reject pious platitudes and holy clichés, but they listen when we open up and reveal some of our worst mistakes. We can tell them of some of our most terrible decisions — we can also inform them of our best choices.
Young people are not stupid; they just lack experience. If we share our experiences with them, we can help them make wise choices.

Psalm 36:5-7

Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as
the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches beyond the
clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty
mountains,
Your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike,
O LORD.
How precious is Your unfailing love,
O God!
All humanity finds shelter
in the shadow of Your wings.
Psalm 36:5-7 (NLT)

“The Lamb who died to save us is the Shepherd who lives to guide us.”Unknown

The Eye Of Spiritual Understanding

“. . . we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:9b-10 (NASB)
When a believer completely yields to the will of God and permits God to fill him with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, God then removes the mist which obscures the inner vision of that believer — a mist which hinders spiritual understanding and robs the believer of the depth of spiritual truths and promises laid down in God’s Word. When a person is completely yielded to God’s will, God gives to that person a deep love for divine truth and a deep, burning desire for a better understanding of that truth. When the believer is so completely yielded, such surrender enables him to see through the spiritual eye of understanding.
Not many believers enjoy their spiritual birthright. Most of us accept God’s second best, or even His third best, when we could and should be living in the center of the abundance of God’s grace, wisdom, holiness and all spiritual understanding.

1 Chronicles 16:34

“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
His faithful love endures forever.”

1 Chronicles 16:34 (NLT)

The powers of evil around you are no match for the power of Jesus within you.

Everybody Has Faith In Something

“We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints; because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel.” Colossians 1:3-5 (NASB)
“There are many messages and ideas that can be called true, but only God’s Word can be called truth. Satan is the liar; to believe his lies is to led astray into death (John 8:44). Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6); when we trust Him, we experience life. Men have tried to destroy God’s truth, but they have failed. The Word of God still stands!
Everybody has faith in something. But faith is only as good as the object in which a person puts his trust. The jungle pagan worships a god of stone; the educated city pagan worships money or possessions or status. In both cases, faith is empty. The true Christian believer has faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith is based on the Word of truth. Any other kind of faith is but superstition–it cannot save.”

Psalm 34:1-3

I will praise the LORD at all times.
I will constantly speak His praises.
I will boast only in the LORD;
let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the LORD’s greatness;
let us exalt His name together.
Psalm 34:1-3 (NLT)
