Psalm 18:30-31

“God’s way is perfect.
All the LORD’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to Him for
protection.
For who is God except the LORD?
Who but our God is a solid rock?”

Psalm 18:30-31 (NLT)

Be An Unashamed Ambassador For Christ

“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38 (NASB)
Jesus was up-front with His recruiting tactics. He spoke of hardships as well as of blessings. The call to bear a cross (Mark 8:34) was never designed to result in throngs of willing volunteers. Carrying a cross was part of the typical Roman execution process. Jesus was forced to comply with this as He struggled toward Golgotha. When we who follow Him take up our crosses, we symbolize our willingness to lose our lives for Jesus and the gospel.
Our society needs this kind of bold witness to the gospel. It needs to hear the testimony of those who, like Paul, are willing to declare, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ” (Rom. 1:16). Some will be led to Christ through such a witness; others will prove cynical and resistant. Jesus’ viewpoint, however, is unmistakably clear: “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:38-39 (NASB)
