The Future Is As Bright As The Promises Of God

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ.” Philippians 3:14 (NASB)
By accepting God’s presence in our lives, we are able to release the past rather than relive it. The past cannot control out lives if we release it and don’t relive it like an instant replay over and over again. Holding on to hurtful memories will take us down a road that leads nowhere. So it is up to us to choose a new direction. We should turn from a nowhere destination to live in the here and now. We should give prayerful attention to thinking positive and focusing on the present moment.
Robert Nathan once said, “There is no distance on this earth as far away as yesterday.” Today is a new day in which we can discard the baggage of old habits and limitations. We can start anew with God. Do not allow the past to shackle your future.

  1. Amen, Amen! It is so hard for me to let go of the past. It is not so much what people have done to me as much as it as mistakes I have made that have hurt me and those around me. I have never put this scripture to heart. Thank you so much for bringing it to light again. May God bless you endlessly!
