Ephesians 2:8-10

God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. The most Godlike thing any believer can do is to give. Giving is the constant activity of God. The whole material fabric is an expression of His delight in giving. The crowning manifestation of it is the gift of Jesus. Were God to cease to give, He would cease to be what He is — God is love. And love is the constant outpouring of itself for others. The chief delight of our Heavenly Father is to lavish His gifts upon us, and chiefest among them is the gift of Himself to us.
