John 14:27-28

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really love Me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am.”
John 14:27-28 (NLT)

The Prayer Of Jabez

“Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me.”
1 Chronicles 4:10 (NASB)

For Me

Under the Eastern sky,
Amid a rabble’s cry,
A man went forth to die
For me.
Thorn-crowned His blessed head,
Blood-stained His every tread;
Cross-laden, on He sped
For me.
Pierced glow His hands and feet,
Three hours o’er Him beat
Fierce rays of noontide heat
For me.
Thus wert Thou made all mine;
Lord, make me wholly Thine;
Grant grace and strength divine
To me.
In thought, and word, and deed
Thy will to do. Oh, lead
My soul, e’en though it bleed,
To Thee.

A Wise Heart

“Behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart.” 1 Kings 3:12a (NASB)
It has been said that the wisest man in the world is the man who knows he doesn’t know.
In the midst of trials how often we say, “If only I knew what to do”; or we may say, “I don’t know which way to turn or what to do.”
God has promised to give us His wisdom. “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [who gives] to every one liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him” (Amplified). . .
Not only are we to ask God for wisdom but we are to ask in faith. Someone has said, “Doubt is a nonconductor of grace.”
We are not to be double-minded, wanting partly our way and partly God’s way.
As we ask God and ask in faith, God has promised to give liberally. We are to ask for wisdom to face serenely the trials of today, unwaveringly trusting in Him. We are to ask for wisdom to meet each trial of life and to face it triumphantly.
